Status in “empathy” package in Ubuntu: Fix Released Bug description: Binary package hint: empathy Can not connect to the Yahoo network neither with accounts imported from Pidgin, neither newly created accounts. Even changing the server to scsa.msg.yahoo.com, or the encoding from UTF-8 to anything else does not help. Maybe this is because the recent changes in the Yahoo messenger protocol (latest protocol version being version 16), however, Pidgin seems to work fine, and as far as I know telepathy-haze is based off libpurple, so it should work for Empathy too.
