In the guest session the problem doesn't occur, the F9 key works great. The test environment from that first command you've sent me recognizes the F9 key being pressed.
On the other side, on my own account the test environment doesn't output anything, just freezes into that gray layer (and recovers when i click somewhere). Seems like the F9 signal messes something around. So I guess this isn't a Gedit bug after all, but instead I must've done something nasty when i customized my desktop (installing theme, icon-theme, applets, etc)... My most sincere apologies if I wasted your time, it's just that I'm not so intimate with the linux environment when it comes to debugging so I thought this issue might be from the distro. Anyway, I've attached the /tmp folder with the output from the commands you said; the "sudo lsinput > lsinput.log" said "lsinput: command not found". ** Attachment added: "tmp.tar.gz" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/35472027/tmp.tar.gz -- Key-binding F9 (Show Sidepane) freezes gedit until i click on it https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478924 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
