Oh, thanks for the pointer. I forgot about that. /lib/udev/findkeyboards only 
listed input/event3. With input/event4 the situation is reversed, normal keys 
(like letters) just gets typed in the terminal. Fn+Fx works for all 
kombinations except F5 and F6 which outputs nothing. In other words, Fn+F4 
seems to be working, it outputs this:
scan code: 0xC01BC   key code: messenger
And that's the correct assigned function for the combination. Although, I can't 
enter the combination in the Keyboard Shortcuts program. Any ideas about that? 
I was going to experiment with the keymaps file, but it seems to me that's 
mostly for laptops since it's based on system vendor/product. That doesn't 
really apply with this external keyboard, does it? Is it possible to make 
another filter for the input device, and if so, does that fix Fn+F4 so that it 
can be added in Keyboard Shortcuts?

But there's still the Fn+F5 and Fn+F6 problem. Any pointers?
