Public bug reported: Sometimes (apparently randomly) my internal PCI wireless card slows down to a halt. What I mean is that when I am visiting web pages, they sometimes just appear to be taking a very long time to load (and indeed to show anything at all). While my Internet connection is not very reliable, my laptop seems to be able to cope, while my desktop is apparently trying to load pages, it can load often more reliably. Its chipset is ipw3945.
I expect for my desktop's speed of Internet transfer to be as fast as my laptop (as they use the same 64 bit WEP connection), but it often appears to take a long while loading while the laptop is fine. Both have Ubuntu Karmic with kubuntu-desktop added. Is there something wrong with the wireless rt61pci driver since Jaunty? I am not sure but I may have got these problems then too. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- rt61pci wireless card slows down intermittently https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/479395 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
