Please ignore the above description (comment).

I have a 4GB RAM 32-bit system.

I remastered a Ubuntu 9.10 32-bit Live DVD with PAE Kernel. I replaced
all "generic" to "generic-pae". However, the Live DVD boot up but the
mouse does not work.

It only happen to remastered Live DVD but not for the working system.

The following are the packages that I replaced the default :

sudo apt-get install linux-generic-pae
sudo apt-get --purge remove linux-generic linux-image-generic
linux-headers-generic
sudo apt-get --purge remove linux-image-2.6.31.14-generic
linux-headers-2.6.31.14-generic

I tried to run "update-initramfs -u" but in vain.
