I don't have the problem anymore. I've installed 9.10 a few days ago and everything on that mainboard (including Front Mic) worked right out of the box :) Things I haven't tested yet are the surround output at the back as well as the 2nd network jack. I don't think there's any difference between them - eth0 works like a charm :)
