I can confirm that the firefox-3.5 package for Karmic has weird font rendering. On a lot of pages, the font is simply too small or is not rendering properly. It seems that fonts that should be rendered as Times New Roman or Arial are being replaced by another font for some reason. I have attached some screenshots to this comment.
I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala (32-bit) using Ubuntu kernel 2.6.31-14-generic. I already have the MS fonts installed.
