@vwingate: Tha Palimpsest warning is supposed. There is a objective SMART param: Overall Health. This is a param of SMART data that say when hard drive in in pre-fail state (for example my BIOS stop the boot if an hd is in pre-fail state).
All disk suites read that parameter to say that the hard disk should be replaced, Palimpsest is assumed that many sectors reallocated indicate a dangerous situation even though the disc itself does not signal its unreliability. -- palimpsest bad sectors false positive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/438136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
