Fourthly, I cannot confirm now, but as I recall, when I had this intel 945 card on a non EDID compatible monitor, even if I manually configured Xorg.conf with a "Monitor" section, specifying decent refresh rates, this would be ignored, and I would still be limited to low resolution. I'll confirm that as soon as possible. And if this is the case, then the issue is with the driver ignoring the Monitor section, even if EDID information is not available. ".. Regards Silvio
