Sort of workaround: -------------------------- If I run the following command into the console:
sudo /etc/init.d/console-setup start then all the characters appears perfectly, although the problematic chars appears in light white color (but obviously this last issue is a minor one). However, when I go into X-Window and then press Ctrl-Alt-F1 to go into the console, the characters appears ugly again.
