The bug's still alive. I own a GIGABYTE STA/STC Thin-Client pc on which I did a fresh install today, using grub with a netinstall kernel and new initrd. Everything went fine, even grub2 install works properly, even with encrypted LVM - good job so far, thanx.
But after rebooting the fabolous resolution of 1600x1200 was shinked to 800x600 pixels with no way to get it fixed. I tried to get the proprietary drivers from VIA but those guys can't even produce tar.gz archives which can be opened by the krippled koala. A quick fix would be helpful. Kind regards from Germany, Steffen (What the hell is this service gdm start/stop thing? /etc/init.d/gdm start/stop worked out fine for many, many years. And if there's no need to change something, why is it done?) -- [VM800] 9.04 Screen resolution on Via Epia LN card is to low https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/360531 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
