as many people are commenting on this issue I doubt greatly that all have brightness settings in their bios. I know I do not. I may need to start a new bug report though as I am getting an all new response after doing a clean install updates and bios update with karim final. brightness keys work... as long as you ignore the fact that they also seem to cause a system freeze :-( this is with a timeline 5810TZ
