I see a gvfs-gdu-volume-monitor crash in dmesg, but otherwise the kernel log looks like you added and removed the card reader medium several times while the computer was booted. Was this the case, or is the USB connection bouncy?
I wonder why inserting/removing the card causes the SMB mounts to get remounted; that might be due to the gdu volume monitor crash. Do you get the same behaviour on a live system? Also, you said that it works for a new user on your system. Can you please do a fresh boot, login asa you, then insert the card _once_, and then do dmesg > /tmp/dmesg.txt ps ux > /tmp/ps.txt mount > /tmp/mounts.txt and attach /tmp/dmesg.txt, /tmp/ps.txt, /tmp/mounts.txt, and ~/.xsession-errors here? I hope this will eliminate some noise from the logs. -- no automated mount of any external media possible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/428001 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
