Ok, this is another one resume failure for Gateway laptop. This time it is
M285-E (a tablet pc). I've got a feeling that all of those failures have the
same cause since they all seem very similar. Mine is as follows:
Weather it is KDE or Gnome desktop (ubuntu/kubuntu 9.10, 64bit) it does suspend
properly when I close the lid. When I open it however, although it appears to
resume properly (i.e. the lights light up and makes all the right noises), but
the screen remains off, and I can't do anything but to force it to shut down.
One thing that got better with ubuntu 9.10 release is that it suspends at all.
Ubuntu 9.04 wouldn't do even that. Also notice that I installed the 64bit
desktop version of ubuntu on my tablet instead of notebook remix. Might that be
the source of my problems? Hope that helps.

Does anyone know how to make my M285-E tablet function to work with ubuntu 9.10
64bit? As for now it does not react on my stylus at all. I could not find
tablet driver for ubuntu linux for this particular Gateway model. I'd
appreciate any help.
