Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
With upgrade to karmic there is a regression in synaptics driver: middle
button emulation when tapping top right-hand corner is not working any
more. On top of this, it is still not possible to disable touchpad
through the driver, and one still has to fall back to shared using
memory to disable touchpad while typing (by enabling shared memory in
HAL and using syndaemon -s option).
