I ran this test because I received info that suggested problems with the kernel associated with ECC memory. The memory used is Non-ECC (G.SKILL, MODEL F2-8500CL5D-2GBPK). The manual for the motherboard ( ASUS M3A78-EM) reports that either ECC or Non- ECC will work. The BIOS offers nothing about configuring the memory for ECC.
