I also have this bug under stable dapper and Edgy. What is interesting to me is the following :
1) Totem-gstreamer, xine, mplayer and vlc work perfectly. Not bug at all ! 2) Install totem-xine. Play a video. It shows you the bug 3) uninstall totem-xine and put totem-gstreamer again : totem-gstreamer, mplayer and vlc are all infected !
