Not particularly. I hope some internal project can help Kubuntu get on
the right track, but for now it just wasn't cutting it for me.

Related to translations, I can tell you that last time I looked in
Rosetta there were many suggested strings that weren't approved and
would have helped a great deal with the translation problems. Not
breaking them in the first place would be better, but approving the
suggestion is a good alternative too.
