Last night the brightness keys worked correctly on my Dell Studio 15, quite weird because I think no update was installed and no particular actions were made before logging in... I'll try to check if the bluetooth/wifi switch may somehow influence the behaviour of the brightness keys, even if the two things shouldn't be related.
