I am also having a similar problem with Karmic server. I also have an nvidia (680i) chipset board. My multi-disk raid 1->LVM fails to boot with the following error.
"fail to mount", and later "waiting on" dev/mapper/VolumeGroupName- LogicalVolumeName I have seperate partitions for the OS all as software raid 1 exceot for the LVM which is 1.4 TB mounted as /home. /boot - 1 gig /root - 30 gig /swap - 16 gig /usr - 9 gig /var - 6 gig /tmp - 4 gig /home -1.4 tb The LVM was working great with Jaunty, the update to Karmic broke it. I tried a fresh install from the Karmic disk and the alternate install disk, and got the same errors. I am still a noob, especialy when it comes to log file reports, so if i should have provided any more details already, sorry in advance. Let me know what you need an i will post it up. -- Weird boot message swap: waiting for /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/461469 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
