Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution-exchange
The problem I notice has surfaced in the 2.28.1-0ubuntu1 version of the evolution-exchange connector on Karmic Koala Actually not really sure this is a bug but I have not had this problem since around Gutsy maybe even Edgy. The problem is I configure evolution with the OWA url http://euukflesvex01/exchange/ My username gets set as domain\first.last. I authenticate fine, i.e. no errors.. However the account then gets created with the exchange server being UKSUNSVEX01 and of course when I exit the account creation screen and evolution tries to retrieve mail, it wants me to authenticate to UKSUNSVEX01 which I do with the same password, but of course my mailbox is not on that server so authentication request keeps on happening. My work around was to hard code UKSUNSVEX01's address in /etc/hosts with the address for euukflesvex01 The work around works. Not sure of what other information can be provided. z...@pandion:~/.evolution/exchange$ cat /etc/lsb-release DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu DISTRIB_RELEASE=9.10 DISTRIB_CODENAME=karmic DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 9.10" z...@pandion:~/.evolution/exchange$ uname -a Linux Pandion 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:05:01 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux ** Affects: evolution-exchange (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Karmic: Evolution tries to talk to the wrong exchange server https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/470090 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
