Since I migrate to Ubuntu version 9.10 the touchpad does not work, not at all
My laptop is a SONY VIO VGN-SR21M bougth in november 2008 UBUNTU version 9.10 (Karmic) Noyaux Linux 2.6.27-7 generic GNOME 2.28.1 Before I had UBUNTU version 8.07 and every things were ok What's more touchpad, - the sound is inaudible, - when I move a screen, the image move with something like jump ( I use mozilla and try to move the image in one corner) - when I scroll a text (from newspaper) it's like the computer put in memory my scrolling, but start the scrolling after I stop. So the lines flash past quickly (not like I want) When I boot my PC, I have first the old version of screen (perhaps it's because I use the old menu.lst which is not updated) During boot, many things appear on my screen ( messages, stripped lines ) until the new Ubuntu 9.10 logo come After the system really start But sometime I have to reboot because after ubuntu logo appear, screen become black and nothing happens When I do a sudo update-grup I obtain this: Searching for GRUB installation directory ... found: /boot/grub Searching for default file ... found: /boot/grub/default Testing for an existing GRUB menu.lst file ... found: /boot/grub/menu.lst Searching for splash image ... none found, skipping ... Found kernel: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.31-14-generic Found kernel: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.27-7-generic Found kernel: /boot/memtest86+.bin Updating /boot/grub/menu.lst ... done I hope you will understand my problems (sorry for my poor english) and hope this will help other customers regards Richard G. -- after upgrade to ubuntu 9.10 from 9.04 sound stopped working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/467652 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
