Same problem here. First I did an upgrade from jaunty to karmic with karmic release candidate. After reboot there was a blank screen. Thereafter, I booted with the recovery option, which drops me into busybox. Then I did a fresh install ... same problem. And the official release live-cd does not recognize my partitions, too.
My system has 3 sata disks and a total number of 6 partitions. One of them (dev/sdc1) is listed by "cat /proc/partitions", which is a ntfs- partition. The command "ls /dev/sd*" lists /dev/sda, /dev/sdb, /dev/sdc and /dev/sdc1. -- root filesystem fails to mount https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/33269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
