Hi,
I have a similar problem with my Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300 Laptop
I did a clean installation of Ubuntu 9.04, including getting any automatic
updates and everything seems to work apart from the battery status. It only
shows AC power settings, no settings for battery as though it was a desktop
computer.
After that I did a clean installation of version 8.10 and it worked correctly
and have been using that no problem.
With version 9.10 coming out I thought I would give that a go, but have the
same problem.
I updated the BIOS (BIOFC30T.COM) and this is dated 2001.
I have attached the log files from the 9.10 installation
Any help would be appriciated, but please put in simple terms for someone who
is used to windows.
Thanks
Keith
