Hi Leann. I've just upgraded to Karmic 9.10, but with no so much lucky. now the soundcard sounds better, but still discontinued. I'm going to give you a new report soon.
I know my laptop is quite old, but with kernel 2.4 and first versions of 2.6 it worked fine at all.
