Well, I agree that it is a duplicate of 463915, however, you and the
person how reported that bug are stilll left in a lurch without a method
to change the desktop modes (you need to get to UNR, he needs to get to
Gnome desktop). This bug still needs to be dealt with (either here or
in the other bug report).
