Public bug reported: This is for a freshly installed Karmic, it's not an upgrade from a previous version.
When trying to set the volume, I get this message: "Waiting for sound system to respond". Nothing never happens. If I try to start gnome-volume-control from a terminal, I get this error: "** (gnome-volume-control:3565): WARNING **: Connection failed, reconnecting..."
