I'm not sure if this is what's happening to me. I cannot update to Karmic because when I boot off of the LiveCD it loads to a blank black screen and plays the login sound, but then I can do nothing. I have tried switching to TTY1-6 to no avail. Any help troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated, as it's a completely show-stopping bug.
