If it helps: linux-image-2.6.20-8-generic breaks functionality of the wireless
card bcm4306 ("bcm43xx: YOUR FIRMWARE IS TOO OLD. Firmware from binary drivers
older than version 4.x is unsupported. You must upgrade your firmware files."
typos are not mine)
I boot to linux-image-2.6.20-6-generic when I need to use the wireless.
