Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
Firefox has been intermittently crashing when posting a reply to a message on the AnandTech forums (http://forums.anandtech.com). I posted a few messages earlier today without issue but just replied to another topic and Firefox crashed. 1. Log into AnandTech forums 2. Find a message and open the link 3. Click on one of the 'Reply' buttons 4. Type text of message 5. Click 'Add Reply' button 6. Firefox crashes What should happen is the 'reply' window will close and the main page will refresh including the new post. This crashing has happened several times and (so far) has not happened at any other time. The last time I launched Firefox I did so from a terminal so I could look for some error output. Here's what I got: (Gecko:15252): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid uninstantiatable type `(null)' in cast to `GtkWidget' (Gecko:15252): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: invalid uninstantiatable type `(null)' in cast to `GObject' (Gecko:15252): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_get_data: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed Segmentation fault (core dumped) ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Crash on submitting forum reply (AnandTech) https://launchpad.net/bugs/86338 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
