Have a look at this : http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=429866 Hope, somewhere in Ubuntu 10.04 or 10.10 this fix would be implemented as well. So far, the fix is only in end-user's hands. Not in Ubuntu 9.10, I am sure.
