Hi, Have you checked your settings under System>Sound?
Under "Default Mixer Tracks", is your soundblaster card selected? Are all the playback options set to autodetect? When you right click on the volume applet at the top right and select "open volume control", how are your volume levels? Is there anything muted that shouldn't be? If all of the above are not helping, then try wiggling random levels in the volume control.
