Public bug reported: Hello,
my Ubuntu 9.10 (beta 1 and the updated version from 24 Oct 2009) does not boot when I enable Wifi in BIOS. Error while booting beta1: "pci 0000:01:00.0: BAR 6: no parent found for of device [0xfffe0000-0xffffffff]" (it is probably fixed, but my Ubuntu ignores it). When I run my installed Ubuntu, it freezes during boot after ~2s - when loading b43-pci-bridge (also when booted in Recovery mode). It always stops at the message b43-pci-bridge <numbers> PCI INT A -> GSI 17 (level, low) -> IRQ 17 Blacklisting modules ssb, b43, b43-pci-bridge does not work. I have also tried installing and uninstalling b43-fwcutter, but it doesn't change anything. Both freezes are unrecoverable (neither sysrq nor ctrl+alt+del works). Windows work and use Wifi, so it is not a hardware bug. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Ubuntu unusable - does not boot - b43-pci-bridge https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/459765 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
