Hi, I checked my RAM module, and it is not ECC type (motherboard support ECC modules); I also did not found any ECC memory option in BIOS (Award F3 version for Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P); My processor is AMD Athlon II x2 245; RAM module is Hynix 2GB 1066Mhz HMT125U6AFP8C-G7 PC-8500F;
I also noticed, that dmidecode and similiar tools can not determine exactly what this module is, some fields are empty; I installed XP and only GIGABYTE motherboard tuning and info program (EasyTune 6) provided all info (I closed RAM in radiator and I can not see labels without dissasembling ;-) ) I had also messages about system instability etc. O, and I used Beta live CD, then daily build (22 oct) with the same result; Previously I tried Debian Squeeze and had no problems, clean logs with 2.6.30.8 included; -- EDAC amd64: WARNING: ECC is NOT currently enabled by the BIOS. Module will NOT be loaded. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422536 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
