and i thought I was alone!.. You have described my problems exactly USB devices and webcam issues. I was on the verge of wiping the hard drive and starting from scratch... sometimes the devices work (especially if I downgrade to an earlier kernel e.g. .11 - but next reboot they have stopped working again. i don't understand what is going on.
