Binary package hint: ubiquity
In Step 3 of 8 (Where are you?), if I click on the "Selected city:"
selection list before it is populated with a value, the list appears
empty (mostly blank lines).
How to replicate:
Launch LiveCD installer.
As soon as Step 3 of 8 (Where are you?) is displayed, click on the selection
list for "Selected city:".
Whitespace will appear and at the bottom of the list of blank lines is
---Africa--.
Once you scroll down the list so that the entire list has actual values,
only then does the list limit the display of blank lines to just one at
the beginning.
If I instead wait a few seconds for the "Selected city:" to get assigned
a value (New York, in my case), the list scrolling shows just the one
blank line at the beginning as well. So the behavior only occurs it you
click on the list before that value is assigned.
