This problem only affects people who installed Uptrack on Jaunty and then upgraded from Jaunty to Karmic before we started providing official Karmic packages on October 20 -- basically, the Jaunty version of the Uptrack modprobe wrapper has this (harmless) warning problem when used on Karmic.
Jason, you should be able to fix this on your system by just running: update-initramfs -u all so that you regenerate your initramfs using the Karmic version of Uptrack (which doesn't modify the initramfs at all). Alternatively, you can upgrade to Uptrack 0.9.9.3 when it is released (probably a few hours from now). -- usplash logo disappears before xsplash complaining about the lack of /bin/uname by /sbin/modprobe https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/446745 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
