I seem to be having this same problem. I have Kubuntu 9.10 loaded on two HP DV2 laptops that are exactly the same. This error appears on both of these laptops. Almost every time I log in I get a notice in my system tray that ubuntuone has crashed. The UbuntuOne Icon does not appear in the tray as it should. Looking at the process list I see that both the Applet and Sync Daemon are still running however there is no icon for UbuntuOne in the tray. Usually after about twenty minutes or so the UbuntuOne tray icon will suddenly appear in the tray showing the upload/download icon and say it is transferring data. After a few minutes it will then change to the icon of the hard drive with the cloud and if I hover the mouse over the icon it will say "updating...". If I click on the tray icon though it will say something like "system is up to date". No files are ever transferred even after letting it sit for several hours.
The data I am trying to sync is about 16gb of Documents in a directory that contains a lot of sub folders. After about 4 days of trying to sync the data it has only synced about 2gb. It would seem that the only time UbuntuOne has actually synced anything is when I first installed it and I did the web authentication thing. Once I restarted the computer it would just crash as detailed above. One question I had is if this is related to the gnome keyring not being unlocked when I log into Kubuntu. I am using unsafe storage with gnome keyring so I do not get a message twice asking me to enter a password when I log on. Again, this happens with both laptops that are configured pretty much the same. -- Ubuntu One applet crashed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/452376 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
