I'll throw a me-too at this. I typically don't use suspend / resume on this desktop (leaving it on all the time for nightly backups) but thought I'd test the suspend in Karmic. The suspend took twice as long to happen as a shutdown would, and the resume froze on a black screen and I had to hit reset after a few minutes.
