Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mplayer
1) Karmic, 9.10 2) mplayer: Installerad: 2:1.0~rc3+svn20090426-1ubuntu10 Kandidat: 2:1.0~rc3+svn20090426-1ubuntu10 3) I played some music tracks through mplayer, and suspended the laptop. When resuming from suspend I expected audio to continue playing. 4) audio buffer looping continously. mplayer couldn't resume. Output from mplayer: AO: [alsa] 48000Hz 2ch s16le (2 bytes per sample) Video: no video Starting playback... [AO_ALSA] Pcm in suspend mode, trying to resume. [AO_ALSA] alsa-lib: pcm_hw.c:729:(snd_pcm_hw_resume) SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_RESUME failed: Function not implemented I suspect this is both a problem with mplayer not handling the error more gracefully, and a driver problem with my sound hardware. I have not encountered this problem before during a few years use of this laptop.
