I would like to add that this issue has been around for me with every release of Ubuntu up to and including Jaunty, on NVidia drivers up and including the latest 185.
There is clearly no point in "file" 'ing a bug report here based on this bug page alone. The issue could be with Nvidia and it is really hard to put into words so searching via Google or other search engines is nearly impossible. As somebody who uses their PC to watch video (a lot / replaces my cable) I just stopped using Linux because it's too hideous to look at (embarrassing when guests see what you're settling for). This is a classic example of where Linux purists settle for less out of spite. This issue doesn't affect Windows or Mac users. For desktops and laptops actually-used-by-regular-humans-with-standards, Linux belongs in a virtual machine. -- Graphic corruption lines ruining ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/260932 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
