Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubiquity

The newbie user who selects manual partitioning is allowed to click the
Forward button without doing any partitioning and continue the
installation process (Step 7, then Step 8) and then is allowed to select
the "Install" button.

After clicking the "Install" button, the "Installing system" status box
is then displayed, and the message is "Detecting file systems ..." is
shown.

An error dialog box titled "No root file system" is then displayed with the
message:
"No root file system is defined
Please correct this from the partitioning menu."

User then clicks the "OK" button to dismiss the error and the installer
ends, leaving the user back at the desktop.

Expected behavior:
After the user clicks "Forward" in the "Prepare partitions" installation step,
perform the "Detecting file systems" at that time so Ubiquity can then deny
advancing the user to the next step if no root partition has been specified
during the "Prepare partitions" step.

** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
