Binary package hint: pulseaudio
I listen to several Internet radio stations and they are all fine except
one - radiodanz.com. It plays just fine under Windows with VLC on the
same machine. Under Ubuntu (both Jaunty and Karmic) listening to the
MP3 or AAC streams with either Totem or VLC results in crackles and pops
- about 3 in every 10 second time span.
The music player doesn't seem to be to blame since it happens in two of
them and they play other streams just fine and the same player under
Windows doesn't have the problem.. The streams don't seem to be to
blame since they play just fine under Windows and other listeners would
have noticed by now.
So I am *guessing* that maybe the audio frame sizes for this source
happen to interact really badly with pulseaudio defaults causing
temporary dropouts.
