This error is perfectly reproducible for me, I reproduced this on any computer I tried. Just open "/usr/share/example-content/Ubuntu_Free_Culture_Showcase/InTheCircle.oga" which is supplied as an example on install disk, with totem, and seek. The visual effect will freeze, and it's not necessarily GOOM. The same happens with any of them: libvisual, Monoscope.
