I'm also affected by this bug in karmic since a few days/weeks. I strongly suspect upstart (or another package related to the new boot process). I noticed that some if not all scripts in /etc/rc2.d/ are not executed on boot.
ondemand is not executed. The governor is now set to "performance" instead of "ondemand" on my laptop. virtualbox-ose is not executed. The virtualbox kernel modules are not loaded at boot time. Starting the scripts manually always works (ondemand, virtualbox-ose, cups, etc). -- After upgrade to karmic cups server do not start. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/444597 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
