bug 317330 is related to a different version of Firefox (3.0), not 3.5.
In fact, the latest comment on that bug suggests an upgrade of Firefox
to 3.5, which would most likely bring that bug inline with this one (so
which is the duplicate I am unsure).
I also upgrade my 9.04 to 9.10 and am unable to hear any sound in
Firefox. I have tried following <a
href="http://www.khattam.info/2009/09/09/solved-sound-problem-in-
ubuntu-9-10-karmic-koala-alpha-4-due-to-pulseaudio/">this advice</a>,
but removing PulseAudio and adding eSound did not help. And yes, I did
re-install the flashplugin-installer package before and after making
these changes.
I also did not see firefox show up in the sound interface.
