Public bug reported: Hi All. After a regular update my wine hangs (freezes) when ever I try to start a program. Even winecfg never returns. It seems the problem is related to scim in libx11 and the following thread on the forums describes a patch from freedesktop.org. http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=306635&highlight=wine+Failed+to+open+the+service+control+manager.
