Public bug reported: Binary package hint: base-installer
When installing the karmic beta netbook remix on a Samsung NC10, the installer screen is too wide for the netbook's display. Oddly, it starts off okay, but shortly after the choose keyboard layout screen, it becomes wider and the Next button is displayed off the right-hand edge of the screen. You can still install, but you have to use the tab key or keyboard shortcuts to select Next to move on. The incorrect size continues until the installer reaches the stage, where it switches from a plain gray background to a orange-based background image, and a window reporting progress is displayed in the middle of the screen. This window is centred properly on the screen. When Ubuntu boots up after the install has finished, the display fits properly on the screen. I'm installing from a USB disk created from ubuntu-9.10-beta-netbook- remix-i386.iso dated 30-Sep-2009 13:10. ** Affects: base-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Screen too wide for Samsung NC10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/451123 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
