Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdepim
With latest update, Akregator can no longer open links in external browser window if Konqueror is configured as the default browser (in "System Settings -> Personal -> Default applications -> Web browser", the following line is set up: "kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing" - see bug #431198 why this line is needed). Links can be opened successfully from Kmail. Akregator, however, displays the following error message box: Could not find 'kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing' executable. It looks like Akregator is trying to use the whole string as the binary name and fails. If I set up default web browser to a single script "konq", it works okay. The konq script is as follows: #! /bin/bash exec kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing "$1" ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Wed Oct 14 00:36:45 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: akregator 4:4.3.2-0ubuntu2 ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE= ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.46-generic SourcePackage: kdepim Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic i686 XsessionErrors: (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1:1909): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_once_init_leave: assertion `initialization_value != 0' failed ** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- Akregator cannot open links in Konqueror (in external browser) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/451063 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kdepim in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
