This also happens to me. I have compositing enabled and don't use suspend or hibernate. I do, however, constantly save my sessions. It seems to work fine when I start up the browser and is broken right now. I'll try to keep an eye on it and see if the screensaver is related on my computer. I am running the latest Karmic.
